John MacDONALD (1905-1977) - shepherd & ploughmen's ballads and melodeon tunes from the North East of Scotland vigorously performed by the mole-catcher and gamekeeper of Pitgaveny, Elgin, in Morayshire- with talk and 7 tunes on the melodeon, some children's songs and his prize-winning "diddling" (mouth-music). His daughter, Ena, joins him on two ballads. Recorded by Peter Kennedy 1955
